Privacy Policy

• Contact data. Your email address.
• Health data. The condition you tell us you are interested in, if you choose to enter one. This field is optional.
• Consent records. The date and time you signed up and a record of what you agreed to.
• Device and usage data. Information your browser sends when you visit the Site, such as your device and browser type, IP address, general location such as city or state derived from your IP address, the pages you view, the website you visited before the Site, and the dates and times of your visits.
• Attribution data. The page and advertisement that brought you to the Site.
• Email interaction data. Whether you open our emails or click links in them, which we learn through pixel tags embedded in our emails.
• Communications data. Anything you send us if you contact us by email.

We do not ask for your name, phone number, medical records, test results, genetic information, medications, or precise location through the waitlist form.

We use the information above to:

• email you when clinical trial matching opens;
• tell you about trials that may be relevant to the condition you entered, if you entered one;
• respond to you if you contact us;
• keep the Site secure and prevent fraud and abuse;
• understand which of our pages and advertisements bring people to the Site; and
• comply with law and legal process and protect our rights and the rights of others.

Health information. The condition you enter is treated as “sensitive personal information” or “consumer health data” under U.S. state privacy laws. We collect it only if you tick the box on the form giving us permission, and we use it only to tell you about trials that may be relevant to you. We do not use it to infer anything else about you, such as your creditworthiness, employment suitability, or insurability. Saturn is generally not a “covered entity” under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”) for the Site, so this information is protected by this Privacy Policy and by state privacy and consumer health data laws rather than by HIPAA.

Not medical advice. We are not a healthcare provider. Nothing we send you is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a determination that you are eligible for any trial; final screening and enrollment decisions are made by qualified investigators and study staff.

We share personal information with:

• Service providers, which act on our behalf under contracts restricting their use of the information, such as website hosting, database, analytics, and email delivery providers;
• Professional advisors, such as lawyers and auditors, under duties of confidentiality;
• Government authorities, courts, and law enforcement, when required by law;
• A successor or acquirer in a merger, acquisition, or similar transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy; and
• Anyone else you direct us to share it with.

We do not sell personal information. We advertise on third-party platforms, such as Meta, which report aggregate ad performance to us. We do not use advertising technologies on the Site or share personal information with advertising companies. If that changes, we will update this Privacy Policy first and ask for your permission where the law requires it.

Reproductive and gender-affirming health information. Information relating to reproductive health care, including services related to pregnancy or its termination, or to gender-affirming care may be disclosed if we are compelled to do so under a civil or criminal subpoena, court order, search warrant, or other legal demand, including one issued by another state, as required by applicable law. If we receive such a demand, where legally permitted, we will try to notify you promptly so that you have the opportunity to object to the disclosure, seek a protective order, or pursue another available remedy.

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies that are necessary for the Site to work, that help us understand how the Site is used, and that record which advertisement or website referred you to the Site. We may use analytics technologies; our analytics providers process this data only on our behalf under written agreements. We do not use advertising cookies or pixels on the Site. You can block cookies through your browser settings, although parts of the Site may not work properly without the necessary ones. We honor Global Privacy Control signals. We do not currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals.

We keep waitlist information until you ask us to delete it, except where we need to keep a record for legal, security, or audit purposes, or where the law requires us to keep it longer. If we do not launch trial matching, we will delete the waitlist. We keep records of the consents you gave us for at least six (6) years so that we can show what you agreed to. Information may remain in backups until those backups are overwritten. When we no longer need personal information, we delete it, de-identify it, or anonymize it.

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, appropriate to its sensitivity, including encryption in transit and at rest and written agreements with vendors. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information. If we experience a security incident that we reasonably believe has affected your personal information, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible in accordance with applicable law. We store and host personal information in the United States. Some of our service providers may access or process it from other countries, subject to written agreements that require them to protect it.

Unsubscribe. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link.

Access, correction, and deletion. You can email privacy@saturnhealth.com at any time to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We will respond within the time applicable law requires, and in any event within 45 days of receiving and verifying your request. We verify requests by sending a confirmation link to the email address you signed up with, and we do not charge a fee.

State privacy rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to confirm whether we process your personal information and to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of it, to appeal a decision we make on your request, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information and we do not process it for targeted advertising. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@saturnhealth.com. Where state law allows, you may use an authorized agent to make a request for you, and we may ask for proof of the agent’s authority.

Individuals under 18 may not use the Site. A parent or legal guardian may join the waitlist on behalf of a child, including by entering the child’s condition. We do not sell or share a child’s personal information. If we learn a child used the Site directly, we will delete the child’s personal information as required by law.

The Site may link to websites operated by others. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices.

We may update this Privacy Policy. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email, post the updated version on the Site with a new date and, where the law requires it, ask for your permission before applying the change to information we already hold.
